Citavi in research at B.Braun

We use Citavi not only for literature, but also for many internal and external documents, such as test plans and reports. With Citavi, knowledge management in our company works excellently!

Citavi is easy and intuitive to use – it has streamlined the process of importing citations, adding pdfs and finding full texts. We are succesfully using Citavi in multiple departments and sharing projects internationally.

Citavi provides us with excellent support in managing our often very specialised (often “grey”) conservation literature and our own expert reports in a structured way. We particularly like the fact that Citavi renames pdfs that are newly recorded and saves them in the project folder. In this way, we can effortlessly and without weeks of copying and renaming gradually bring structure to the “uncontrolled growth” that has developed over the years. The inclusion of citations in texts and the automatic creation of the bibliography also work excellently.

CITAVI was chosen as the most suitable programme for structured literature collection, referencing and knowledge management because of its functionality and, in particular, the simultaneous joint work on databases on its own server. The customisation to own needs and the excellent customer service make CITAVI an indispensable helper in our everyday business.

At the Julius Kühn Institute, Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants, Citavi complements the range of literature management software in that younger users in particular greatly appreciate the self-explanatory interface and the individual enhancement of PDF files through annotations. The feedback from our scientists on Citavi was positive without exception.

We have been using Citavi for a long time to record specialist literature and other media in our subject area. After switching to the current version, we are also increasingly working with the possibilities of joint literature and knowledge management in project teams. Literature can be shared quickly and integrated into specialised publications. Above all, we benefit from the flexibility provided by the cloud integration.
